It is the end of February and autumn is just around the corner. Summer weather, with it's hot temperatures and sunny days, occurred for about 10 days in January and since then it has been sliding towards fall. For the past two days Linda has been picking
blackberries for pies, fresh corn on the cob is on the supermarket shelves and today we saw a chestnut tree heavily laden with it's spiky nuts. Mornings on the river have been foggy, back to school sales are in full swing and flocks of ducks are flying north. Even though I KNOW that seasons are reversed in the southern hemisphere it just does not seem right that fall is already here and we are still tied to a dock.
