During our brief stop at Rapa Nui we visited as many of the historic sites as time would allow. The entire island is a national park and several of the sites have been reconstructed to pre-contact staus while others have been left in their current state but protected from further degradation.
Since our time for describing all of these very interesting places is quite short, we'll just share a few photos for now and try to describe everything later.
We are now on our way to Valdivia, Chile so will post a few more items while underway.
